Volleyball Rules

ALL players, coaches, clubs/teams MUST be current AAU members to participate in practices, scrimmages, and tournaments.  

• Iowa AAU volleyball divisions are according to grade. However, please be aware that other AAU volleyball events (i.e. Nationals, Grand Prix, etc.) may be divided according to age divisions (i.e. Nationals, Grand Prix, etc.).
  

    

  
  


• For developmental purposes --- 4th and 5th grade  ...  the farthest edge of the service line may be drawn 23 feet from the center line. The out-of-bounds end line and side line will remain the same.

• 4th Grade ---> 6' 8" 


• 5th Grade ---> 6' 10" 


• 6th Grade ---> 7' 0" 


• 7th Grade   ---> 7' 2" 


• 8th - 12 Grades ---> Regulation  (7' 4 1/8")

• 4th & 5th Grade --->  will use the volley lite ball


• 6th - 12th Grade --->  will use the regulation ball
